Bailey attended St. Edward High School, where she graduated with a diploma. She then studied at Michigan State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. Bailey studied from 2007 to 2011, participating in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Delta Zeta Chapter National Pan-Hellenic Council at MSU, and Secretary.

Bailey started off her career as a production and promotions intern at MacDonald Broadcasting from May 2009 to August 2009. She produced daily promos and imaging for MIKE 101.7FM and WSQHH Power 96.5FM. She then joined HOM-TV in Okemos, Michigan, as a reporting intern on May 2010 to August 2010. Bailey wrote, shoot, and edited weekly news packages using P-2 Cameras and Final Cut Pro, and also delivered reports, and conducted live interviews for various television programs.
Bailey later worked as a sideline reporter for Capital Area Media Television (CAM-TV) from July 2010 to August 2010. On September 2010, she joined HOMTV, in Okemos, Michigan as a special assignment intern until October 2011. She hosted the monthly television show, ”Beyond The Badge,” which gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look into the Meridian Township Police Department. Bailey joined WLX-TV, in Lansing, Michigan Area on December 2010 to October 2011, as a news assistant and producer. She produced two half-hour newscasts including story assignments, stacking, and scriptwriting, and also created and updated content for wilx.com, Fox47news, and the station’s Facebook page.
Bailey then joined Gray Television on October 2011 as a morning anchor and executive producer. She worked at the station until November 2013, when she joined Radiate Media as a traffic reporter until March 2015. On March 2015 she became a weekend anchor and reporter at Hearst Television until December 2015. She was promoted to morning anchor and reporter on January 2016 to February 2021 at the station. Bailey then joined FOX 8 as a weekend morning anchor and reporter in March of 2021. In 2018, she authored her first book The Woman With The Oil, as she is a domestic violence survivor. Bailey presently uses the memoir to teach society about the cycle of abuse and hopefully prevent others from experiencing intimate partner violence.
