Recently, Wu served at WCVB NewsCenter 5 as a host of “On The Record” and investigative/political reporter. “On The Record” is a weekly roundtable discussion program, airing every morning on Sundays at 11 a.m. She retired from her journalism career in December 2022 and has worked for WCVB for more than 3 decades.
Wu was the very first Asian American woman to work as a television reporter at the Massachusetts State House. She blazed a trail for women and women of color in the media and broadcasting field. Before joining WCVB, she worked for WGBH-TV in Boston, Massachusetts as a State House reporter. Wu has also served at United Press International as a news reporter.
When coming to her education she is a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree. She fluently speaks the Cantonese dialect of Chinese. During her leisure time, she likes hanging out with her friends and family.
